Happy 24th Birthday Bro!!!
Woke up round 7am. Watered garden, drank coffee and listened to Dave play his guitar. We went to the tool shop in town before Dave went into the wood shop, which is cool cause I'm a bit stir crazy. ;) His friend Phil had ordered him a special cutting tool so he can do inlays in his guitars. Sweet!!!
Today, I planted 192 seedlings consisting of: Herbs- 18 genovese basil, 12 cilantro, 6 dill, 6 chives, 6 feverfew; Winter veggies- 12 Leeks, 6 brussel sprouts, 6 artichokes, 6 romanesco broccoli, 18 bulls blood beets and 24 red bunching onions; Greens- 12 Italian kale, 6 amaranth, 18 spinach, 6 rapini, 12 rocket, 6 summer queen lettuce and 6 four seasons lettuce. Very excited and expect to start another batch of seeds in a couple weeks/ a month to give us constant crops and food. I didn’t anticipate it this taking me so long, but I finished this project around 2pm and then took a little 20 minute nap. Called my brother when I woke up to wish him a happy birthday, he’s 24 today.
Dave got home around 5:30. We worked in the garden together, drank some beers and made zucchini fritters/ pancakes for dinner. Yum!!! In bed by 10pm.
