First day at the orchard.
Dave and I woke up round 7:30am, got coffee started, watered the garden and began work in the garden with Dave. We started pruning back all the powdery mildew, composting zucchinis and crushing beetles on all the plants. Lots of work. Took a break around 2pm and made an amazing salad: beet tops, spinach, lettuce, onion, garbanzo beans, cucumber, olives, hard boiled eggs, garlic and some lemon juice. Absolutely delicious! Can’t remember what we had for dinner. We spent our first night in the caravan that evening, which was good. I tossed and turned a bit, but nothing to complain about really. Went to bed early again, round 10pm.
